Wayland Housing Authority approves $186,000 in warrants, honors retiring Mark Consigli

WAYLAND — March 24, 2023 — Wayland Housing Authority approves $186,000 in February warrants and bids farewell to a 40-year maintenance veteran. The board voted 4-0 to approve a $185,704.05 bill warrant and a $342.40 debit card warrant, and 5-0 to pay a $550 septic bill for 12 Hammond Road. Executive Director Brian Boggia said Mark Consigli's 30-day retirement notice has launched a fast hiring search, with a second round of interviews set for the following week. Chair Susan Weinstein and Commissioner Marie Eisenberg described a resident-led retirement party and a tribute Boggia was too ill to deliver in person. Boggia also reported "really encouraging" talks with Best Buddies International about a possible shared living component at 212 Main Street, even as the Finance Committee pushes to sell the tax-title parcel. The authority has a new $308,000 state capital award awaiting signature.
