The Wayland Town Clerk's Office announced Oct. 14 key deadlines and voting options ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

Residents who need to register to vote, change party affiliation or update their address must do so by Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Town Clerk's Office. Online voter registration remains open until 11:50 p.m. that day through the state's online voter registration page.

The deadline to submit a vote-by-mail application is Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. The office noted that postmarks do not count toward that deadline and advised applying early, especially for ballots that will be mailed from out of town, since the U.S. Postal Service recommends allowing up to seven days for delivery.

Wayland residents have three ways to vote. Those voting by mail can drop completed ballots in the dropbox at Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3, or mail them so they are postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by Nov. 6.

Early in-person voting begins Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and continues through Oct. 30, excluding Sundays, at Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road.

On Election Day, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. All precincts will vote at the Wayland Town Building Gymnasium, 41 Cochituate Road.

Questions can be directed to the Town Clerk's Office at (508) 358-3630 or townclerk@wayland.ma.us.
