Wayland selectmen vote 5-0 to enter closed session on River's Edge
WAYLAND — January 21, 2021 — Wayland selectmen vote 5-0 to take River's Edge negotiations behind closed doors. The Board of Selectmen met for only a few minutes in open session Jan. 21 before Chair Cherry Carlson moved to enter executive session under Chapter 30A, Section 21(a)(6) to consider the final purchase price, wastewater connection payment details and a 12th amendment to the land disposition agreement for the River's Edge project at 484-490 Boston Post Road. Carlson declared that public discussion "may have a detrimental effect on the litigating, negotiating, or bargaining position of the town." Selectmen Mary Antes, Tom Fay, Dave Watkins and Lee Anderson joined Carlson in the unanimous roll-call vote. Town Administrator Louise Miller, Assistant Town Administrator John Bugbee and Management Analyst Jason Adams were invited to attend. The board adjourned from executive session without returning to open business.
