Wayland Select Board readies River's Edge closing, resolves insurance terms

WAYLAND — January 26, 2021 — Wayland will get 100 COVID-19 vaccine doses next week as state opens Phase 2. Town Administrator Louise Miller told the Select Board on Tuesday that Massachusetts has not finished Phase 1 and that "there is right now a shortage of vaccine in the state," even with Phase 2 set to begin Feb. 1 prioritizing residents 75 and older, 65 and older, and those with two comorbidities. The board voted 5-0 to enter executive session on the River's Edge project at 484-490 Boston Post Road, returning at 10:05 a.m. to review two grant-of-easements documents covering the access road and wastewater facilities. Chair Cherry Carlson said three outstanding insurance issues — umbrella liability, an environmental pollution exclusion and mutual subrogation — had been resolved, with the pollution exclusion dropped because MIIA does not offer the coverage. The board adjourned 5-0 at 10:18 a.m. and meets again Wednesday at 8:45 a.m.
