Wayland Select Board readies River's Edge closing, resolves insurance terms

WAYLAND -- January 26, 2021, Wayland will get 100 COVID-19 vaccine doses next week as state opens Phase 2. Town Administrator Louise Miller told the Select Board on Tuesday that Massachusetts has not finished Phase 1 and that "there is right now a shortage of vaccine in the state," even with Phase 2 set to begin Feb. 1 prioritizing residents 75 and older, 65 and older, and those with two comorbidities. The board voted 5-0 to enter executive session on the River's Edge project at 484-490 Boston Post Road, returning at 10:05 a.m. to review two grant-of-easements documents covering the access road and wastewater facilities. Chair Cherry Carlson said three outstanding insurance issues, umbrella liability, an environmental pollution exclusion and mutual subrogation, had been resolved, with the pollution exclusion dropped because MIIA does not offer the coverage. The board adjourned 5-0 at 10:18 a.m. and meets again Wednesday at 8:45 a.m.
