Wayland Housing Authority tables Bent Park resident council budget for revisions

WAYLAND — December 16, 2022 — Wayland Housing Authority tables Bent Park Resident Council's first budget, approves 5 percent raise for executive director. Commissioners on Dec. 16 unanimously sent back a $1,400 spending plan — the federal allowance of $25 per unit across 56 Bent Park units — asking the council to break out membership dues, conference fees, and mileage rather than lumping costs under "board travel." Chair Susan Weinstein said "I don't think any of us has an issue with the bottom line," but wanted council officers to vote on the plan first and commit to quarterly expenditure reports. Executive Director Brian Boggia, in his 36th year, received a 4.8-out-of-5 rating and a 5 percent raise to $134,319. The board also approved a $50,385.13 November bill warrant and a $583.10 debit card warrant on 4-0 roll call votes.
