Members ranked the town building mechanical and electrical replacement ($1.57 million), Fire Station 2 renovations ($1.8 million) and a Munis revenue module ($230,000) as top FY19 capital priorities, and agreed to ask the Finance Committee about packaging the building work as a debt-exclusion question. Auditor Scott McIntyre of Melanson Heath reported that the town's unassigned general fund balance grew from $7.9 million to about $10.9 million in FY17, roughly 15 percent of revenues, while the net pension liability held at $53.7 million.
