Wayland Assessors approve Aug. 4 minutes, recess to executive session

WAYLAND — August 11, 2025 — Wayland Board of Assessors approves Aug. 4 minutes and heads into executive session on ATB cases. Chair Zachariah L. Ventress, Vice-Chair Philip David Parks and member Massimo Taurisano voted 3-0 Monday to accept the minutes before the director outlined work on the FY 2025 annual assessors' report, a Community Preservation Act report for DLS Gateway, and FY 2027 budget talks with the finance office aimed at finding places "to trim some fat, if there is indeed any." Staff members Tamara and Stephen will attend MAAO classes in Southbridge next week, and the office may close one day for a staffing gap. The board recessed at 6:11 p.m. into executive session to take up July motor vehicle abatements and Appellate Tax Board cases including F354405 on Glen Oak Drive and a Level 3 Communications, LLC matter. Next meeting: Sept. 8.
