Select Board convenes only to sit in on Finance Committee workshop

WAYLAND -- August 6, 2020, Wayland Select Board opens and immediately stands down to attend Finance Committee warrant workshop. The board called its Aug. 6 meeting to order at 6:11 p.m. with three members present, Tom Fay, Mary Antes and Cherry Carlson, for the express and sole purpose of attending the Finance Committee's Special Town Meeting article workshop. The chair stated the board "will conduct no other business" and would adjourn when the workshop concluded. No votes, dollar figures, motions or public comment were taken up under the Select Board's own agenda during the recorded portion of the session.
