Wayland Select Board adjourns in four minutes after consent vote

WAYLAND — May 2, 2023 — Wayland Select Board wraps post-town-meeting session in roughly four minutes. Meeting on May 2, chaired by Carol B. Martin with Thomas J. Fay presiding at the open, welcomed returning member William Whitney and a newly sworn member identified in the transcript only as Ann; member Adam Bugby also joined remotely. No residents offered public comment, and members had nothing to add regarding the annual town meeting that concluded the previous night. The board approved the consent calendar 5-0 on a roll call vote without discussion. Martin volunteered to handle routine correspondence on behalf of the board and forward notes to Assistant Town Manager Kelsi Power-Spirlet until the May 15 meeting. "I'm happy to have you do that, Carol," Bugby said. The board adjourned at 6:04 p.m.
