Wayland Planning Board continues 13 Cherina Road hearing to March 11
WAYLAND -- February 11, 2025, Wayland Planning Board continues 13 Cherina Road subdivision hearing to March 11. The board voted 5-0 to extend the review of application 24-07 after engineer Kevin O'Leary of the Jillson Company said revised plans and a response to a DGT stormwater peer review would not be ready before Feb. 21. The state decision deadline is March 26. Much of the hearing centered on a 10-foot walking-path easement linking the proposed cul-de-sac to a roughly 122-acre town greenway. Board member Annette Lewis pressed for a clearly identifiable trail so future homeowners "don't say you can't walk here." Neighbor Rachel Bratt said the connecting trail on town land "does not exist," while former resident Thomas Hager said he "rarely saw, if ever, people walking into the woods." Twelve waiver requests are pending, including a 45-foot cul-de-sac radius against a 60-foot regulation.
