Wayland Finance Committee classifies nine warrant articles as having no financial impact

WAYLAND — January 27, 2025 — Wayland Finance Committee previews a $108.5 million FY26 budget and hedges on health insurance. The main variable is health insurance: MIIA announced a 14.5 percent hike at the MMA meeting, while West Suburban Health Group — Wayland's carrier — is discussing 6 to 7 percent. Keveney's budget assumes 10 percent and warned an unfavorable outcome could push the unused levy "north of $1.1 million."
