Wayland assessors commit $57,657.93 in motor vehicle excise taxes

WAYLAND — November 20, 2025 — Wayland assessors commit $57,657.93 in fiscal 2026 motor vehicle excise taxes. The Board of Assessors voted 3-0 Thursday to approve the XI-6 motor vehicle and trailer commitment, covering 327 bills against $8,557,898.55 in valuation, with bills set to issue Nov. 25. Chair Zachariah L. Ventress, Vice-Chair Philip David Parks and member Massimo Taurisano made up the quorum; there was no public comment and no minutes to review. Ventress previewed a much larger Dec. 8 meeting that will take up "actual taxes," senior tax work-off and exemptions, telling members their attendance would be "very, very important." The session adjourned at noon after roughly three minutes.
