Wayland assessors commit $44.3 million in preliminary FY25 tax warrants

WAYLAND — June 14, 2024 — Wayland assessors commit $44.3 million in preliminary FY25 taxes to the collector. Meeting remotely on June 14, the Board of Assessors unanimously approved three warrants — $43,148,813.82 in real estate, $567,185.42 in personal property, and $584,195.14 in Community Preservation Act surcharges — totaling $44,300,194.38 for the first and second quarters of fiscal 2025. Vice-Chair Philip David Parks, sitting as acting chair, moved each commitment and members Douglass McNeilly and Steven Klitgord seconded and supported on 3-0 roll calls. The board waived review of prior minutes to "keep this as tight as possible" and route the commitment quickly to the town accountant. The next meeting was set for Monday, July 8, with an executive session on the agenda.
