Wayland assessors clear $20.20 excise recommitment from 1994
WAYLAND — August 4, 2025 — Wayland assessors clear a $20.20 excise recommitment dating to 1994. Meeting remotely Aug. 4 with Chair Zachariah L. Ventress and Vice-Chair Philip David Parks absent, members Douglass McNeilly, Massimo Taurisano and Steven Klitgord voted 3-0 to approve the fiscal 2026 motor vehicle and trailer excise recommitment to assist the treasurer/tax collector and deputy collector Kelly and Ryan, and 3-0 to accept July 14 minutes. Staff reported that two employees will attend MAAO summer school in Southbridge and that a draft annual report is in progress, with "ongoing activities with inspections, billing permits, cyclical sales." The board then entered executive session under Purpose 7 to weigh release of executive minutes from four prior meetings and review Appellate Tax Board dockets, mostly commercial, plus one matter at 3 Glen Oak Drive.
