Planning Board extends Carroll School review, approves Setta Wood water-main change
WAYLAND -- November 19, 2025, Wayland Planning Board extends Carroll School review to January and approves Setta Wood water-main relocation. Chair Anette S. Lewis on Wednesday continued the hearing on the Carroll School's 37-45 Waltham Road site plan to Dec. 17 and reset the decision deadline to Jan. 30, with a joint Dec. 3 session with the Conservation Commission on stormwater and trees. Owner's project manager Carrie DeLeo said the school filed responses today to peer-review consultant ECT and added a 2:30-to-3:30 p.m. dismissal-peak traffic count; the proposed building would enroll 240 students in grades seven through nine, queuing up to 110 cars on site. Attorney Hill, for neighbors, urged a separate traffic peer reviewer, citing projected delay increases up to 200 percent; Lewis declined, saying the board would "operate in good faith." The board also voted 4-0 to approve an amendment moving the Setta Wood Lane subdivision water main off Old Connecticut Path at the Conservation Commission's request.
