Wayland Planning Board releases three Plain Road units, extends road deadline
WAYLAND — September 12, 2023 — Wayland Planning Board releases three of four Plain Road units and extends road deadline to Nov. 3. The board voted 3-0 with one abstention Tuesday to let Town Planner Robert Hummer and the building commissioner sign off on certificates of occupancy for three of four new condominium units at the 105 Plain Road conservation cluster, holding the fourth unit until paving and as-built plans are complete. Developer Joe Tamposi of Tamposi Brothers One LLC told the board the final roadway top coat is scheduled for Sept. 25 and that two units are already on the market. "If we have someone who's ready to close quickly, we want to be able to work with that buyer," Tamposi said. Chair Anette S. Lewis said any release of the fourth unit will require a separate vote. The board also worked through draft MBTA Communities zoning language ahead of an October forum deadline and discussed a possible appeal to the Zoning Board of Appeals over a building permit issued on the River's Edge / Mainstone project, with attorney Mark Bobrowski arguing the property is not a preexisting nonconforming use because of prior federal ownership.
