Wayland Housing Partnership reports St. Anne's construction targeted for April 2026

WAYLAND — October 22, 2025 — Wayland's St. Anne's affordable housing project targets an April 1, 2026 groundbreaking. Housing Partnership Chair Mary M. Antes told the Oct. 22 meeting that project supervisor Philip Crean reported MassHousing has bond capacity lined up for the first half of next year, with federal low-income housing tax credits already secured. The lone remaining hurdle is an unresolved conservation dispute that members said involves competing state and town interpretations of wetland standards; the Partnership agreed to send a letter copied to Town Manager Michael McCall urging resolution. Member Rachel Bratt reported the Select Board and Board of Health unanimously co-sponsored the Nov. 12 ADU forum, though town assessor Rob LaRue and the building commissioner declined to sit on panels, not wanting to be "pinned down" on tax and cost estimates. A separate Dec. 2 brainstorming session with Massachusetts Housing Partnership's Dana Luenta will tackle affordable ADUs.
