Wayland Housing Partnership plans fall forum on affordable housing

WAYLAND — June 12, 2024 — Wayland Housing Partnership maps a fall forum and divides outreach to a dozen stakeholders. Chair Mary M. Antes told members Wednesday that the Wayland Housing Trust will meet June 18 to release startup funds from its $250,000 commitment to the St. Ann's senior village — $150,000 in year one, $100,000 in year two — and is contributing $400,000 to the Habitat for Humanity build at 12 Hammond Road, where costs are estimated at $530,000 to $580,000. Member Katherine Provost reported that developer Matt O'Connor is advancing a six-unit shared-living proposal at 67 Loker Street with Minuteman ARC as service provider. James Grumbach argued the partnership must build its own coalition because "we're going to have to fend for ourselves." Members tentatively set the next meeting for July 17.
