Wayland Housing Partnership backs six-unit supportive housing plan on Loker Street

WAYLAND — July 17, 2024 — Wayland Housing Partnership endorses six-unit supportive housing plan on Loker Street. Meeting without a formal quorum on July 17, four members heard developer Matt O'Connor describe a "micro-units" project on the parcel adjacent to 67 Loker Street, to be operated under master lease by Minuteman Arc with five tenants with disabilities and a live-in "good neighbor." Member Jim Grumbach, a former zoning board member, said he was "150 percent in support" and urged O'Connor to hire a land-use attorney. The partnership agreed to draft a letter asking Town Manager Michael McCall and planning director Robert Hummel to convene a working group. Members also reported the St. Anne's affordable project missed this round of state tax credits but secured its building permit. The next meeting is Aug. 21.
