Wayland Cultural Council elects vice chair, sets June 11 grantee reception

WAYLAND — April 9, 2025 — Wayland Cultural Council elects Marie Isenburg vice chair and sets June 11 grantee reception. Chair Pallavi Nagesha said she wanted a deputy so meetings could proceed in her absence; Isenburg volunteered — "I'd be happy to do it. I'm not gonna pussyfoot around" — and was elected unanimously, along with Maryam Libdi, Naresh Mysore and Kevin Goodwin. The council also unanimously extended its utility box art call to roughly May 12 after receiving only one submission, from applicant Rahul Ray, and voted to adopt a rotating note-taking roster while Libdi explores whether AI tools such as Otter or Notion can be used. Members Dona Mitra, Alyssa Ao and Charles Bent were absent. The council adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
