Frank Kennedy warned that inflation has consumed most of the project's contingency, saying "there's not very much contingency left in it," while Vice Chair William Sterling reported the civil engineer is "basically ahead of schedule." Director Julie told the board she rebuilt the fiscal 2024 budget after discovering omitted staff positions; the underlying operating increase is about $22,000 once a $32,000 tax-work-off line shifted to the overlay account is set aside. A roughly $34,000 to $36,000 Mass Development transportation grant remains stalled at the state. Three town manager finalists appear at a public reception Thursday.
