Wayland assessors table fiscal 2024 tax warrants pending software fix
WAYLAND — December 18, 2023 — Wayland assessors table fiscal 2024 actual tax warrants amid Munis software error. Meeting remotely Monday with three of five members present, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 to defer action on fiscal 2024 actual taxes, warrants and commitments to a Wednesday, Dec. 20 follow-up at 12:30 p.m. The assessing director told members the office is "still waiting" on final values from multiple departments and working through "a critical error" in the town's Munis accounting software, expected to be fixed Tuesday afternoon. Members Steven Klitgord, Philip David Parks and Massimo Taurisano also unanimously approved the Dec. 5 minutes. Separately, the director reported three interviews were conducted for the administrative assessor position vacated by Lisa Sullivan, who resigned Dec. 4, and an offer was made Monday.
