WAYLAND -- March 11, 2025, Wayland Planning Board continues 13 Charena Road subdivision hearing to April 22. The board voted 5-0 to push the public hearing on a proposed five-lot subdivision served by a new private way, Cedar Wood Lane, and extended its decision deadline to May 27. Assistant Fire Chief Richard Ripley signed off March 1 on a 90-foot paved cul-de-sac diameter. Member Robin Borgestedt criticized the applicant's stacked waivers on street width, pathway width and open space, saying O'Leary was "chipping away" at every avenue for open space. Chair Jennifer Steel also announced she is stepping down; Borgestedt and Larry Kiernan agreed to share vice chair duties.
