Planning Board approves Veritas Christian Academy site plan in 4-0 vote

WAYLAND — May 27, 2025 — Wayland Planning Board unanimously approves Veritas Christian Academy site plan at 164-172 Cochituate Road. The 4-0 vote, with Chair Anette S. Lewis, Vice Chair Robin Borgestedt, Albert I. Montague Jr. and Larry Kiernan in favor, closed a Dover Amendment review and adopted findings including a peer-review consultant fund for stormwater installation, a Board of Health septic testing requirement and a pre-construction coordination meeting with town departments. The board granted a waiver from a 10 percent parking-landscaping rule and incorporated a construction sequencing plan from C. Floyd Construction. Town Planner Robert said escrowed peer-review funds will be returned with interest "when the funds apart is done." In a separate 4-0 vote, the board waived a recording condition on the Council on Aging decision to allow a temporary certificate of occupancy before the senior center opens next week. Jesse Newberry was appointed to the Housing Partnership and Nick Munkenbeck to the Municipal Affordable Housing Trust.
