Wayland Planning Board extends Five Path subdivision deadline to June 2025

WAYLAND — July 9, 2024 — Wayland Planning Board grants Five Path another year and clears Dudley Pond permit path. The board voted 4-0 Tuesday to extend the 57 Shaw Drive subdivision's roadway completion deadline to June 30, 2025, after the current owner cited supplier delays and slow sales; only asphalt top course, loam and seeding remain. Chair Anette Lewis stressed the town's covenant means "none of the houses can be released to be sold" until a homeowners' agreement, easements, deed form and as-built plan are in hand. In a separate 4-0 vote, the board authorized Town Planner Robert Hummel to certify on its behalf that a Department of Public Works Chapter 91 application for a Dudley Pond boat launch had been reviewed, provided he finds no issues. The board also spent the bulk of the meeting line-editing draft site plan regulations for the Article 27 Multifamily Housing Overlay District.
