WAYLAND — February 19, 2025 — Wayland Housing Partnership backs MBTA letter and plans housing forum before April 7 Town Meeting. The committee unanimously approved a letter drafted by member Kathleen Boundy urging the state to keep final MBTA Communities Act regulations consistent with the guidelines Wayland relied on, saying towns like Milton may try to "weaken them." Chair Mary M. Antes said the panel will pitch Town Planner Robert Hummel on a Feb. 24 call to bring in consultant Judy Barrett to moderate a forum tentatively set for April 2, with March 19 as backup. Member Katherine Provost reported that Norwood-based Roach Family Real Estate wants a minimum of nine units at 212 Stonebridge Road, with up to 20 percent of housing authority vouchers potentially project-based Section 8. The League of Women Voters will cover the ADU bylaw at its March 26 issues forum.
