Wayland Housing Partnership approves annual report, presses town on delayed 212 Cochituate RFP. Chair Mary Antes and members Rachel Bratt, Kathleen Boundy, Jean Milburn, Janot Mendler De Suarez and Jacqueline Espirtusanto-Vega voted unanimously to approve the committee's fiscal year 2026 annual report as amended and the minutes of its August 11 meeting. Housing Trust member Chris Reynolds told the board the town's long-delayed request for proposals for a 212 Cochituate Road affordable-housing project, mailed out the day before the meeting, will seek two to four dwelling units on the roughly four-acre parcel, short of the roughly 20 units members had originally discussed.
"I'm still unhappy," one member said. Members also reviewed a Board of Health finding that adding bedrooms for an accessory dwelling unit can add $25,000 to $35,000 in septic costs, and studied an Acton-style cluster-zoning model that could roughly double density on a parcel while preserving conservation land.
