Wayland Board of Health extends 157 Buckskin Drive repair deadline to Aug. 15.
WAYLAND -- July 13, 2026, Wayland Board of Health extends 157 Buckskin Drive repair deadline to Aug. 15. Members voted 4-0 Monday to give owner Carolyn Langer until mid-August to complete interior repairs required under a legal order citing violations of 105 CMR 410.000, after the tenant, claiming mold sensitivity, refused access and a housing court hearing could not be rescheduled before the tenant's Aug. 1 move-out. Health Agent Julia Junghanns said she has appeared for two three-hour court sessions without being called. The board also heard that the DPW has applied calcium chloride to Hazelbrook Lane and Lincoln Road and plans to regrade both with virgin material after finishing Glezen Lane. Chair Dr. Robert Defrancesco pressed staff on recurring food-safety issues at China Rose, including mouse droppings in a takeout container and a nut-allergen incident, asking "how many times do we have to keep going back there before we do something a little bit more?"
