Wayland assessors approve FY2026 certification forms for state submission

WAYLAND — November 3, 2025 — Wayland assessors clear FY2026 state certification forms in unanimous vote. The Board of Assessors voted 4-0 on Nov. 3 to approve a memo authorizing submission of forms LA-3, LA-15, LA-4 and LA-13, plus the LA-13 base levy growth, to the DLS Gateway portal as part of the fiscal 2026 recap. Member Steven Klitgord moved the approval, seconded by Vice-Chair Philip David Parks, with Chair Zachariah L. Ventress and member Douglass McNeilly also voting yes; member Massimo Taurisano was not recorded. The town's assessing director reported 21 owner interactions and 11 value adjustments during the just-closed disclosure period, calling the changes routine. The board set its annual tax classification hearing for Monday, Nov. 17, with the director pledging to cut a customary 20-page presentation to "two at the max."
