New Town Center owners pledge faster execution and food and beverage tenants

WAYLAND — December 12, 2025 — Wayland's new Town Center owners pledge faster execution and a cafe within months. The Economic Development Committee met Friday with Jesse, president of Grafito, who closed on the property three weeks ago alongside Legacy Capital Partners and Chicago-based North Point Partners. Jesse said the roughly 90-percent-leased center has "an execution problem, not a vision" problem, and outlined plans for a pedestrian "path to park" on Alyssa Avenue, a rebrand, and new food and beverage tenants. Town Planner Robert Hummel proposed the town purchase stalled Shared Streets furniture and lease it to the new owner for $1, after a prior plan triggered a $10 million insurance demand. The committee unanimously appointed David Villari as South Landfill Committee liaison and elected Karen Kelly vice chair.
