Housing Partnership plans November ADU forum, sets fall prep meetings
WAYLAND -- August 13, 2025, Wayland Housing Partnership sets November ADU forum and rejects narrow affordability-only framing. Chair Mary M. Antes and members voted at the Aug. 13 remote meeting to hold in-person working sessions Sept. 17 and Oct. 7 in advance of a public forum before Thanksgiving aimed at promoting accessory dwelling units. Member Kathleen Boundy reported she and Rachel Bratt will address the planning board Aug. 27 after Chair Annette Lewis signaled interest in collaborating only on affordable ADUs; member James Grumbach said "the whole point of the housing forum is to educate people and promote it." Antes said the attorney general has flagged unspecified problems with the Article 19 ADU bylaw that will require a return trip to town meeting. Member Catherine Provost reported the Cascade project still envisions 60 affordable homeownership units and that a 212 Constituent housing-with-services RFP is targeted for spring.
