Conservation panel approves Loker Street apartment permit
Conservation Commission · Meeting of September 30, 2026
Wayland Conservation Commission issued a wetlands permit for a six-unit Loker Street apartment project despite an unresolved curb cut. The commission voted 6-0 to close the hearing and issue an order of conditions for 67A Loker Street after applicant Matt O'Connor accepted the risk that any later change would force a new filing; Conservation Administrator Linda Hansen warned "you can't use a catch basin as part of your stormwater management." Members also voted 6-0 to rescind a 2018 order at 26 Rice Road and issue an enforcement order on DEP's recommendation, and set an October 1 fine clock for 17 Gleason over unpermitted tree removal. Kleinfelder's Kirsten Ryan said the town's PFAS water project involves 5.6 acres of disturbance and removal of 29 trees at Happy Hollow.
