Arts Wayland To Close Elissa Avenue For Block Party
Monday, August 17, 9:30 a.m. — Arts Wayland hosts Macho Mocha, a coffee-and-conversation drop-in for men, at the gallery on Andrew Avenue, running until 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday, August 24, 7:30 p.m. — The Songwriter's Woodshed, Arts Wayland's recurring open session for musicians working on original material, returns to the Andrew Avenue gallery.
Wednesday, August 26, 11:59 p.m. — Deadline for Arts Wayland members to submit work for the September-October 2026 exhibit.
Friday, August 28, 5 to 8 p.m. — Arts Wayland and Wayland Town Center will co-host Tap'n'Tunes, an end-of-summer block party that closes Elissa Avenue to traffic. Clover Road Brewery will pour beer, cider and wine; the band Seven2Many and newcomer Georgia Raines are set to perform, and organizers plan a splash pool, games and seating for families, with food available from Giacomo's and other nearby restaurants.
Thursday, September 3 — Deadline for vendors to register for Arts Wayland's 2026 Winter Art Fair, scheduled for December 5 at Wayland High School's Commons.
Thursday, September 3, 7 to 8:30 p.m. — Arts Wayland's Art Circle meets at the Andrew Avenue gallery.
Elsewhere, Arts Wayland continues to take submissions through September 1 for "The Massachusetts Gothic," its ghost-story reading co-sponsored with the MetroWest Writers' Guild, set for a September 25 event at the gallery, as previously reported.
