Arts Wayland Calls For Gothic Tales Ahead Of Sept. 25 Reading

Monday, August 24, 7:30 p.m. — Arts Wayland presents The Songwriter's Woodshed, an evening showcase for local songwriters, at the gallery.

Wednesday, August 26, 11:59 p.m. — Arts Wayland members face the deadline to submit work for the gallery's September-October art exhibit.

Tuesday, September 1 — Massachusetts authors have until this date to submit ghost stories, unexplained encounters and gothic fiction to Arts Wayland and the MetroWest Writers' Guild for "The Massachusetts Gothic," a project reimagining the state's myths and legends. Program co-lead Luke Acton is fielding questions on eligibility and support for writers still working on their submissions.

Thursday, September 3 — Vendors have until this date to register for the 2026 Arts Wayland Winter Art Fair, set for December 5 at Wayland High School's Commons.

Thursday, September 3, 7 to 8:30 p.m. — Arts Wayland's Art Circle meets at the gallery.

Friday, September 25, 7 p.m. — Arts Wayland will host a reception and reading of the submitted Massachusetts Gothic stories and poems at its gallery, opening the fall season with a night of local ghost stories and legends.
