Wastewater Management District Commission · Meeting of September 14, 2026
Wayland's sewer district sold its last available flow and penciled in an $8 million plant expansion. Wastewater Administrator Sarah Pawluczonek told the Wastewater Management District Commission that Wayland Commons bought 880 gallons per day for four planned units, paying a $21,780 privilege fee, leaving "truly the end of what we have for available flow." Department of Public Works Director Tom Holder presented a five-year capital plan holding $2 million for Route 20 low-pressure sewer work in fiscal 2028, $1,205,000 for treatment plant building repairs in fiscal 2031 and an $8 million fiscal 2032 placeholder tied to a possible Dudley Pond connection. Operations Manager Jared Cotton reported a July phosphorus exceedance he called "one little blip." Chair Michael Gitten and member Darrin Bock approved the annual report 2-0; it shows fiscal 2026 revenue of nearly $1.5 million against about $936,000 in expenses.
