State Program Could Aid Wayland's Affordable Housing Efforts

Wednesday, September 16 — The Massachusetts Housing Partnership reopened its Complete Neighborhoods technical assistance program, which offers awards of up to $50,000 to help municipalities and developers plan affordable housing near transit and in densely developed areas. The program can fund zoning and neighborhood planning, community engagement, and predevelopment work such as concept planning and site analysis; applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and MHP's Senior Planner Ashley Eaton is fielding questions from interested communities and developers.

Sunday, September 20 — The Wayland Museum & Historical Society will open its year-long exhibit "A Year of Sports" with a reception for its first chapter, "Out Until Dark," running from noon to 2 p.m. at the museum's home on Cochituate Road. The chapter will remain on view through November.
