Planning Board clears Veritas lot merger, defers site plan to March

WAYLAND — February 25, 2025 — Wayland Planning Board approves lot merger for Veritas Academic Campus, defers site plan to March 25. The board voted 3-0, with member Larry Kiernan abstaining, to approve an "approval not required" plan combining four parcels at 164-172 Cochituate Road into a single lot. Chair Jennifer Steel, Vice Chair Robin Borgestedt and member Annette Lewis cast the affirmative votes. Peer reviewer Greg Roy of Dillis and Roy told the board four of five stormwater basins still appear not to dewater within the required 72 hours and that mounding contours cross the property line. Applicant attorney Mark Bobrowski agreed to submit a memo on how the Dover Amendment interacts with the town's earth-movement bylaw after Steel said the grading "extends so far beyond the entry drive" to qualify for an exemption. The board also continued the Five Paths Court release-of-lots request to March 25, citing repeated errors in the developer's filings.
