The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Wayland Police Department's official public log for the period May 13–25, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Tuesday, May 13, 12:34 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: Two-car collision reported in the parking lot of Longfellow Health Club on the 500 block of Boston Post Road.
Tuesday, May 13, 3:38 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A reported disturbance at China Rose Restaurant on the 15 block of East Plain Street was found to stem from a motor vehicle accident.
Tuesday, May 13, 6:32 p.m. — Arrest: Police stopped a motor vehicle on Old Connecticut Path. Felipe Herrera Jr., 26, of Natick, was arrested on a warrant.
Tuesday, May 13, 8:19 p.m. — Hit-and-Run: A two-car hit-and-run was reported on Old Connecticut Path; the second party returned to the scene and both vehicles were released to their operators.
Wednesday, May 14, 5:33 p.m. — Suspicious Vehicle: A suspicious car reported in front of a residence was investigated and a report was filed.
Wednesday, May 14, 8:27 p.m. — Road Hazard: A tree branch in the roadway on Rice Road at Highfields Road was removed by officers.
Thursday, May 15, 2:50 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car traffic accident occurred on Boston Post Road near Winthrop Road.
Friday, May 16, 8:35 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car motor vehicle accident occurred near the Main Street Sunoco; no injuries were reported.
Friday, May 16, 11:30 p.m. — Trespassing: Multiple teenagers were reported climbing onto the roof of a building at Alta Oxbow on the 400 block of Boston Post Road; officers cleared the scene.
Saturday, May 17, 7:59 p.m. — Road Hazard: A tree branch in the roadway on Oxbow Road was taped off by officers prior to removal.
Sunday, May 18, 8:11 a.m. — Downed Wires: Communication wires were found down at a residence on Cochituate Road.
Sunday, May 18, 5:36 p.m. — Suspicious Motor Vehicle: A caller reported a male motorist who passed her multiple times while she was running on Draper Road; officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Tuesday, May 20, 9:31 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A single-vehicle accident on Commonwealth Road resulted in three people being transported to area hospitals.
Wednesday, May 21, 1:00 p.m. — Child Locked in Vehicle: A child was accidentally locked inside a vehicle at Children's Way on the 41 block of Cochituate Road; the child was not in distress and access was gained.
Wednesday, May 21, 6:11 p.m. — Hit-and-Run: A driver reported a hit-and-run involving a blue SUV at the Village Bank on the 62 block of Boston Post Road; a report was filed.
Thursday, May 22, 5:24 p.m. — Arrest: Police stopped a motor vehicle at Commonwealth Road and Pemberton Road. An unnamed individual was arrested and charged with felonious use of a motor vehicle.
Friday, May 23, 12:28 p.m. — Mutual Aid / Motor Vehicle Accident: Wayland police provided mutual aid to Lincoln police for a motor vehicle accident at Routes 126 and 117; EMS and towing were required.
Saturday, May 24, 2:45 a.m. — Carbon Monoxide Call: Two residents at an Anthony Road address reported feeling ill and suspected carbon monoxide; the Fire Department checked and found zero readings inside the home.
Saturday, May 24, 8:17 a.m. — Shoplifting: CVS Pharmacy on the 150 block of Main Street reported a shoplifting incident that had occurred the previous night; a report was filed.
Saturday, May 24, 11:56 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A three-vehicle minor accident was reported near Commonwealth Road and Main Street.
Saturday, May 24, 5:01 p.m. — Road Rage / Property Damage: The operator of a white sedan threw a bottle at another driver's car on an unspecified road, damaging her mirror; a report was filed.
Sunday, May 25, 11:32 a.m. — Disabled Vehicle: A vehicle abandoned in the roadway on Cochituate Road near Millbrook Road was pushed clear by responding officers.
