Wayland Public Safety Log: February 2–15, 2026

The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Wayland Police Department's official public log for the period February 2–15, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Monday, Feb. 2, 8:48 a.m., Motor Vehicle Stop: A driver stopped on an unspecified road was found to have a suspended license; the vehicle was impounded.

Monday, Feb. 2, 5:18 p.m., Auto Theft: A vehicle was reported stolen from Bentley Boston/Heritage Motors on the 500 block of Boston Post Road. Officers used LoJack tracking to locate and recover the vehicle the same evening in New York.

Tuesday, Feb. 3, 7:37 a.m., Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-vehicle accident was reported; no injuries.

Tuesday, Feb. 3, 8:01 a.m., Motor Vehicle Crash: A three-car crash on Commonwealth Road sent two occupants to the hospital; traffic was detoured.

Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1:26 p.m., Hit-and-Run: A hit-and-run on Concord Road involving a black Mercedes SUV was reported; Weston police were notified.

Tuesday, Feb. 3, 4:23 p.m., Gas Leak Investigation: A possible gas leak near School Street and Caulfield Road was checked by the Fire Department; no further details reported.

Wednesday, Feb. 4, 5:41 p.m., Fire Alarm: An alarm at The Residence at Paine Estate on the 10 block of Green Way sounded due to water entering the panel; the Fire Department took the panel out of service.

Thursday, Feb. 5, 6:29 a.m., Motor Vehicle Stop: A vehicle reported weaving in traffic without headlights on an unspecified road; police spoke with the driver.

Thursday, Feb. 5, 11:06 a.m., Larceny: A resident of Lake Shore Drive reported a stolen front license plate.

Thursday, Feb. 5, 4:12 p.m., Erratic Operation: A pickup truck reported driving erratically on Concord Road was located by officers traveling south on Route 126.

Friday, Feb. 6, 7:41 a.m., Motor Vehicle Stop: A vehicle stopped on Main Street was found to have a registration violation; the SUV was impounded.

Friday, Feb. 6, 11:55 a.m., Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-vehicle accident was reported on Boston Post Road near the Weston line; no injuries.

Friday, Feb. 6, 10:00 p.m., Vandalism: A resident of Old Connecticut Path reported damage to their mailbox.

Saturday, Feb. 7, 12:15 p.m., Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car accident near the 10 block of Boston Post Road; no injuries.

Monday, Feb. 9, 2:18 p.m., Rescue: A Concord Road resident became stranded on his roof while clearing snow; the Fire Department assisted him down using a ground ladder.

Monday, Feb. 9, 3:55 p.m., Vehicle Fire: A vehicle fire on Waltham Road was extinguished by responding units.

Tuesday, Feb. 10, 11:00 a.m., Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-vehicle accident on Main Street near Doran Road was reported; no injuries noted.

Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1:14 p.m., Motor Vehicle Crash: A single-vehicle crash on Concord Road; no injuries.

Wednesday, Feb. 11, 5:52 p.m., Motor Vehicle Stop: An SUV traveling without rear lights on Old Connecticut Path; an officer spoke with the operator.

Wednesday, Feb. 11, 6:59 p.m., Motor Vehicle Crash: A five-vehicle accident on Boston Post Road just east of Wayland Center shut down the roadway in both directions.

Thursday, Feb. 12, 7:43 a.m., Hit-and-Run: A vehicle on King Street was struck by a white Tesla, which fled the scene; no injuries.

Thursday, Feb. 12, 5:55 p.m., Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car accident on Concord Road at Sherman's Bridge Road; no injuries.

Friday, Feb. 13, 12:23 p.m., Cybercrime: A Pelham Island Road resident reported a hacked email account; police advised.

Sunday, Feb. 15, 10:05 a.m., Property/Welfare: A Beech Road neighbor reported water flowing from a nearby unoccupied residence; the utility meter was pulled and water was shut off.

Sunday, Feb. 15, 7:57 p.m., Structure Fire (Fireplace): The Fire Department responded to a Brandywyne address for trouble with a fireplace fire, determined to involve a flue issue, and assisted with extinguishing it.
