The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Wayland Police Department's official public log for the period April 14–26, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Tuesday, April 14, 11:20 a.m. — Downed Wires: Tree limbs pulled wires down on Parmenter Road, rendering the road impassable; the area was taped off pending utility response.
Tuesday, April 14, 12:52 p.m. — Gas Odor: A resident of Moore Road reported a gas odor inside and around the home; the Fire Department detected a slight odor and shut off the gas.
Tuesday, April 14, 12:55 p.m. — Fraud: A resident of the Draper Road area reported that funds had been withdrawn from a bank account using a fraudulent check.
Tuesday, April 14, 1:58 p.m. — Animal Incident: A leashed dog was struck and killed by a car near Andrew Avenue and Lillian Way.
Wednesday, April 15, 7:21 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car accident was reported at the Gulf Gas Station on the 28 block of Boston Post Road.
Wednesday, April 15, 9:59 a.m. — Internet Scam: A resident of the Wisteria Way area reported being victimized in an internet scam, stating he sent a check for $1,000.
Thursday, April 16, 8:16 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car accident with no injuries was reported on Commonwealth Road.
Thursday, April 16, 12:57 a.m. — Fraud: A resident of the East Plain Street area reported the unauthorized use of her credit card.
Thursday, April 16, 1:22 p.m. — Internet Scam: A resident of the Alden Road area came to the station to report an internet scam.
Thursday, April 16, 4:48 p.m. — Internet Scam: A resident of the Pickwick Way area reported an internet scam.
Thursday, April 16, 4:54 p.m. — Package Theft: A caller from the 492 block of Boston Post Road reported a package stolen from outside the building entrance.
Thursday, April 16, 6:18 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car accident was reported at CVS on the 150 block of Main Street; one operator was concerned the other driver was attempting to leave the scene, but both were present when officers arrived.
Friday, April 17, 2:11 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car crash was reported on Rice Road at Elizabeth Road; no hospital transport was required.
Saturday, April 18, 10:22 a.m. — Mail Scattered in Roadway: Mail was found scattered across Lincoln Road, affecting several homes; mail was collected and held at the police station for return to owners.
Saturday, April 18, 3:12 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car accident on Old Connecticut Path at Old Farm Road resulted in at least one person being transported to the hospital.
Saturday, April 18, 4:20 p.m. — Suspicious Parking Ticket: A caller from 110 Grill on the 171 block of Commonwealth Road reported a possibly fraudulent parking ticket on her vehicle; police confirmed the ticket did not originate with the Wayland Police Department.
Monday, April 20, 11:14 a.m. — Vandalism: A resident of the Maguire Road area reported eggs thrown at her home.
Monday, April 20, 3:41 p.m. — Harassment: A person from Donelan's Market on the 177 block of Commonwealth Road came to the station to report being harassed at work.
Tuesday, April 21, 9:34 a.m. — Hit and Run: A white van struck a vehicle at Loker Conservation Area on the 412 block of Commonwealth Road and fled eastbound on Route 30.
Tuesday, April 21, 8:15 p.m. — Vehicle in River: A vehicle parked on the boat ramp on Sherman's Bridge Road rolled unoccupied into the Sudbury River; it was removed from the water the following morning.
Thursday, April 23, 12:16 p.m. — Mail Theft: A resident of the Erwin Road area reported stolen mail.
Friday, April 24, 1:47 p.m. — Vandalism: A caller from the 292 block of Boston Post Road reported that a vehicle on the property had been keyed.
Friday, April 24, 4:17 p.m. — Mail Theft: A resident of the Plain Road area reported stolen mail.
Saturday, April 25, 1:37 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident / Injury: A bicyclist struck by a car on Old Sudbury Road at Wayland Country Club was transported to Brigham & Women's Hospital.
Saturday, April 25, 2:00 p.m. — Scam: A resident of the School Street area reported a suspicious text message regarding a parking ticket, which appeared to be a scam.
Saturday, April 25, 5:10 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car accident was reported on School Street at Commonwealth Road.
Sunday, April 26, 12:53 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of CVS on the 150 block of Main Street reported a shoplifting incident.
Sunday, April 26, 9:35 p.m. — Suspicious Persons: An alarm company reported three individuals on the property of Herb Chambers of Wayland on the 533 block of Boston Post Road and provided descriptions to responding officers.
