The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Wayland Police Department's official public log for the period March 16–29, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Monday, March 16, 1:06 a.m. — Water Leak/Flooding: Water leaking from an overflowing upstairs sink at the 100 block of Main Street flooded a downstairs bathroom; fire personnel responded.
Monday, March 16, 8:01 a.m. — Traffic Complaint: A school crossing guard at Happy Hollow School reported multiple vehicles running the stop sign at the school exit.
Monday, March 16, 9:12 a.m. — Mail Tampering: The Wayland Postmaster reported that mailboxes in town may have been gone through after mail was delivered.
Monday, March 16, 12:53 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car collision at the Landfill, 400 block of Boston Post Road, sent one injured operator to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Monday, March 16, 1:53 p.m. — Electrical Hazard: A sparking transformer on Draper Road caused a power outage; the Fire Department confirmed a utility crew was on scene.
Monday, March 16, 4:26 p.m. — Downed Wire: A low-hanging wire on Linn Lane prompted police to tape off the area.
Monday, March 16, 9:38 p.m. — Tree Down: A large tree blocked a lane of travel on Concord Road and was moved to the roadside.
Monday, March 16, 11:32 p.m. — Suspicious Person: A resident on Alden Road reported an individual with a flashlight inside a neighboring home while an alarm sounded; an officer had the homeowner deactivate the alarm.
Tuesday, March 17, 3:37 a.m.–6:18 a.m. — Storm-Related Tree and Wire Incidents: Multiple tree-down and wire-down calls came in overnight and into the morning amid widespread outages. A tree falling on wires on Glezen Lane prompted closure of Concord Road, Glezen Lane, and Draper Road. Additional trees blocked Shaw Drive, the Old Sudbury Road/Glezen Lane area, Mainstone Road at Glen Oak Drive, and the entrance to an apartment complex at Turkey Hill and Rice roads; roads were cleared or referred to the Department of Public Works as conditions allowed.
Wednesday, March 18, 10:50 a.m. — Tree Down: Two trees were down on Old Oxbow Road, confirmed by an officer.
Wednesday, March 18, 2:14 p.m. — Breaking and Entering: A resident on Tally Ho Lane reported a broken rear window and unfamiliar lights on inside the home; police confirmed a break-in had occurred. Nothing was reported stolen.
Wednesday, March 18, 2:45 p.m. — Attempted Wire Fraud: An employee at Middlesex Savings Bank called police after a customer was on the phone with a suspected scammer attempting to have her wire $62,000. An officer advised the victim not to transfer funds; the scammer disconnected and no money was lost.
Thursday, March 19, 8:02 a.m. — Hit-and-Run: A driver at the 300 block of Commonwealth Road reported that a gray Mercedes SUV struck his vehicle and fled toward Oak Street into Natick.
Friday, March 20, 8:53 a.m. — Tree Down/Property Damage: A tree fell onto a truck on Glezen Lane; no injuries were reported.
Friday, March 20, 10:22 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A vehicle was struck in the parking lot of Sunrise Assisted Living at the 200 block of Commonwealth Road.
Friday, March 20, 7:41 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries: A three-car collision at the 100 block of Cochituate Road sent two people to area hospitals.
Saturday, March 21, 3:38 p.m. — Larceny: A resident at the 400 block of Boston Post Road reported money had been taken from her vehicle on multiple occasions while it was parked in the garage.
Sunday, March 22, 5:05 p.m. — Electrical Hazard: Sparking wires in trees were reported on Draper Road; the electric company was notified.
Monday, March 23, 12:29 p.m. — Property Damage: A walk-in resident from Pickwick Way reported property damage.
Monday, March 23, 3:28 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries: A two-car crash at Concord Road and Sherman's Bridge Road sent one person to Emerson Hospital with possible injuries.
Monday, March 23, 6:14 p.m. — Robbery: A seller who arranged a Facebook Marketplace camera sale was robbed in the parking lot at the 15 East Plain Street area; the buyer fled in a vehicle without paying. The incident is under investigation.
Tuesday, March 24, 7:55 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries: A car collided with a parked pickup truck at the Loker Conservation area; one person was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Tuesday, March 24, 4:32 p.m. — Illegal Parking/Dumping: A Glezen Lane homeowner reported that someone had parked four trailers and two pickup trucks on his property and left other items there.
Wednesday, March 25, 2:20 p.m. — Hit-and-Run: A vehicle struck the medical office building at the 200 block of Boston Post Road and left without reporting the incident; police responded and assessed the damage.
Thursday, March 26, 4:21 p.m. — Illegal Dumping: Construction material was reported illegally dumped near the aqueduct side of Herland Way.
Thursday, March 26, 8:12 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A car and pickup truck collided near the intersection of Commonwealth Road and Main Street.
Friday, March 27, 9:50 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A two-car accident near Cochituate Road and Millbrook Road resulted in minor damage; no injuries reported.
Friday, March 27, 10:24 a.m. — Arrest: Following a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a Revere man. Victor Alfonso Collado, 39, of Revere, was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a false or stolen Registry of Motor Vehicles document, and identity fraud.
Sunday, March 29, 10:51 a.m. — Traffic Signal Outage: All traffic lights were out at Main and East Plain streets; stop signs were placed at the intersection.
Sunday, March 29, 5:51 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Accident: A rear-end chain-reaction collision involving three vehicles at Main Street and Commonwealth Road resulted in no injuries and no major damage.
