Monday, August 3 — A farm-to-table restaurant plans to open later this year inside the building that once served as Wayland's original Town Hall. Saturday, August 22 — Early voting for the Sept. 1 State Primary opens at the Town Clerk's Office and continues through Friday, Aug. 28, Town Manager Michael McCall wrote in his August newsletter to residents.
Monday, August 24, 5:30 p.m. — McCall will hold his monthly office hours in the Wayland Commons Room at 41 Cochituate Road, inviting residents to stop by with questions or concerns through 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 30, 2 p.m. — Beatrice Herford's Vokes Theatre hosts "Rendezvous with Rachel Revere," a free interactive one-woman play about Paul Revere's wife presented by History at Play. The Historical Commission and Wayland250 are sponsoring the event, at 97 Boston Post Road; registration is required.
Monday, August 31 — Purple flags will go up around the town center for two weeks in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day, an effort organized by the Wayland Opioid Settlement Working Group. The same day, Wayland Public Schools welcomes back students in grades 1 through 12, with Pre-K and Kindergarten students following on Wednesday, Sept. 2, McCall noted in the newsletter.
