Conservation Commission deadlocks with 24 School Street developer over wetland line

WAYLAND — January 25, 2023 — Wayland Conservation Commission and a townhouse developer reach an impasse over an expired wetland delineation. Chris D'Antonio of Windsor Place LLC told the board he will proceed with either a seven- or 12-unit project at 24 School Street without re-delineating, citing a consultant's letter, while Conservation Administrator Linda Hansen read a DEP email confirming the 2015 ANRAD has expired. "I've got the law right in front of you," D'Antonio said; Commissioner Luke Legere countered that the board is "not at all comfortable advising an applicant on which project they should pursue." The commission continued the hearing 7-0 to Feb. 15, separately voted 7-0 to submit a town meeting warrant article banning second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides on town property, and approved a septic upgrade at 6 Jericho Lane that moves the system from 25 to 130 feet from a bordering vegetated wetland.
